Location: Newcastle University International Study Centre
Salary: £32,409- £37,635 Depending on experience
Band D
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Manager - Support Services to join our team at the Newcastle University International Study Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the smooth delivery of student support operations and make a real difference to the student experience.
The post holder will lead and manage a range of core operational functions across the student lifecycle, including admissions, registration, academic planning, and sponsor management. Working closely with academic colleagues, you will ensure that processes run efficiently, services are student-centred, and all activities meet compliance and quality standards. You will oversee timetabling, examinations, and academic planning, ensuring resources are used effectively and students receive an excellent experience from arrival to progression.
You will also be responsible for maintaining full compliance with UKVI regulations, managing sponsor relations, and producing key reports and student data. As a line manager, you will support and develop your team to deliver a high standard of service, fostering collaboration and a positive working environment.
This role requires someone with strong organisational skills, proven experience in managing academic or operational services in an educational setting, and a clear understanding of UKVI compliance. You should have experience managing a team, working across departments, and building productive relationships with senior staff and external partners. A degree or equivalent experience in education administration or a related field is essential, along with excellent communication, problem-solving, and IT skills.
