Title Production Lead
Location Warwick, Warwickshire, UK
About Raeon
Custom batteries are inaccessible for too many. From motorbikes to UAVs, boats to robotics and everything in between, we build batteries differently to enable high performance, affordable optimisation.
We’re at the start of our journey. We have experience, innovation and momentum on our side.
What we’re looking for
A unique opportunity to upgrade the assembly line, own facility operations, and build the product.
We are looking for a versatile and practical manufacturing professional to lead our production operations. This is not a typical "desk job" management role; it is a hands-on position that evolves with the company.
Initially, you will be instrumental in the setup phase of our upgraded line: specifying equipment, defining the factory layout, and managing the commissioning of our new equipment. On occasion you will be expected to support your technicians working directly on the line to build prototype and production battery packs.
As volume increases, your focus will shift toward full-time management: running production plans, optimising workflows, leading a team of technicians and managing wider facility operations. We are looking for someone who understands the engineering behind the product, the logistics of the factory floor, and the importance of quality in niche manufacturing.
Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome - we are an equal opportunities employer. If you’re unsure that you meet the full criteria of a role – but you're interested in where it could take you – we encourage you to apply.
Expectations
* Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong grasp of inventory control, production planning, and quality management systems.
* Experience with batteries, EVs and/or related systems is a significant advantage.
* Demonstrated history of setting up production lines, commissioning machinery, and defining factory layouts. Experience with automation systems is highly required.
* A willingness to switch between strategic management and hands-on assembly work. You must be comfortable using tools and building hardware.
* Ability to author clear Work Instructions/SOPs and act as the primary owner for Health & Safety on the shop floor.
* Experience setting up or using ERP, MRP, or MES systems for manufacturing tracking.
* Experience managing a technical team (operators/technicians), including the "soft skills" required for HR and people management.
* Collaborative Mindset: Excellent communication and teamwork skills both internally and externally.
* On-site Presence: Ability to work 40 hours a week, required on site 5 days a week.
* Flexibility: Willing to travel nationally and internationally if required.
What we’re offering
A unique opportunity to play an instrumental role at an early stage within a fast growing UK battery company. The role will be rewarding, engaging and demanding.
* 25 days holiday per year, plus Christmas to New Year additional holiday.
* Competitive salary
* Pension
* Flexible working and family friendly approach
* Employee retailer discounts
* Healthcare scheme
