About the role

Are you passionate about caring for the environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Wastewater team, collaborating with the Proactive team, Sewerage Manager, and Investment Delivery to implement various pollution projects to benefit our customers, communities, and the environment.

This includes taking responsibility for smaller initiatives, focusing on capital projects aimed at reducing pollution to minimise environmental impacts. You’ll collaborate with managers on pollution projects including Dual Manhole, vulnerable manholes and sewer level monitor installations, creating materials for investigations.

Effective communication is essential as you will tailor updates for stakeholders at all levels. The regular updates you’ll provide will ensure positive feedback from stakeholders.

You’ll assist in sewer investigations and regular maintenance, ensuring health and safety is at the forefront of everything you do.

About you

If you have proven analytical and organisation skills, then we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will use their ability to build positive working relationships to achieve common goals.

You’ll be pursuing a civil, environmental, or project management degree with a 12-month placement. Due to the nature of travel between sites you’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Your skills in data analysis and trend identification will make informed recommendations. This will be underpinned by a strong commercial awareness and understanding of the water industry.

Overall you’ll be confident in engaging with new people, using a positive attitude to determine success.
