HUC is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to lead a high-quality contracting function supporting urgent and healthcare services across our region. You will manage a varied portfolio of NHS, estates, supplier and recruitment contracts, ensuring strong performance, compliance and value for money.
Working with internal teams, Integrated Care Boards, NHS England, providers and suppliers, you will play a key role in performance monitoring, service improvement and contract governance. This is a senior position with significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence service delivery at scale.
Main duties of the job
* Lead the end-to-end management of a defined contract portfolio.
* Negotiate, review and manage contractual variations and renewals.
* Monitor performance, KPIs, activity plans and compliance with statutory requirements.
* Analyse complex performance and financial data to support decision-making and improvement.
* Represent HUC at contract meetings, performance reviews and national/local forums.
* Provide expert advice on contractual risk, dispute resolution and policy changes.
* Support procurement, service development, mobilisation and governance processes.
* Maintain robust documentation and audit trails.
* Line-manage, mentor and professionally develop team members.
* Deputise for the Head of Contracts when required.

* oNHS contract management or commissioning/provider experience, including leading successful negotiations.
* oDetailed knowledge of the NHS Standard Contract and associated requirements.
* oExperience with APMS, GMS, PMS, PDS.
* o Experience at a Senior Management level
