Additionally, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome, respected, and empowered to succeed The role As a Senior Engineer, Materials at the AMRF, you’ll be hands-on in advancing our materials expertise—leading the way in evaluating, qualifying, and reporting on materials across a variety of manufacturing processes. Experience with composite materials, additive powders, and traditionally formed steels and alloys will be beneficial! You’ll use cutting-edge equipment, such as universal testers and confocal microscopes, to test and analyse materials, making sure everything meets industry standards, while sharing your know-how with engineering teams and supporting customer projects. You’ll help shape a culture of enthusiasm and innovation, tackling the complexity of materials behaviour and making smart decisions even when the information isn’t complete. For more information read the full Role Description: (De to enter when advertised) What you will bring to the role Demonstrated experience with the evaluation, testing and qualification of materials to a high degree of engineering rigor and in line with leading industry standards. Demonstrated ability to author concise and informative reports including the quantitative display of technical information within industry best practices. Knowledge of statistical process control methodologies, mechanical response of materials, measurement systems analysis, and quality control techniques applicable to materials evaluation and testing. Experience with a diverse array of manufacturing technologies including precision machining, metal additive manufacturing, advanced composites, and large format polymer additive manufacturing. Demonstrable experience working and maintaining mechanical testing equipment for the purposes of microscopy, destructive, and non-destructive materials evaluation.
