Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
* Assess the needs and conditions of your assigned patients by gathering relevant health information.
* Develop individualized care plans and implement strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
* Continuously evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
* Deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care while respecting privacy and dignity.
* Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection prevention standards.
* Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
* Assist with procedures and transportation throughout the hospital as needed.
Education
* Engage in a learning environment supported by evidence-based practice and research.
* Focus on personal development through professional interactions with peers and students.
* Participate in ongoing educational seminars and mentoring opportunities.
Compliance & Safety
* Adhere to regulatory standards and hospital policies to ensure patient safety.
* Stay current with state and federal regulations impacting your role.
* Complete mandatory training and maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
* Report safety incidents promptly and participate in safety training programs.
Qualifications
Education
* Associate Degree in Nursing - Required
* Must graduate from a BSN program within 6 years of hire into an RN position
Certification & Licensures
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license - Required
* BLS - Required within 7 days of hire
* ACLS - Required within 2 months of hire
* NIHSS - Required within 2 months of hire
* PALS - Required within 12 weeks of hire
* ATCN or TNCC - Required within 18 months of hire
Employees must maintain appropriate clinical competencies as assigned by their departmental leader.
Experience
* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* Less than one year of nursing experience is required.
* Must be graduating in the next year or have graduated within the past year.
