Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. Sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds, and any role-specific criteria.

11. Act as an expert in facilitating physiological birth and advanced maternity care.
12. Utilise professional midwifery knowledge to provide mentorship and support to all staff and learners.
13. Analyse complex midwifery issues, assess risks, and escalate concerns to the appropriate managers or staff.
14. Facilitate learning opportunities for managing complex cases in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
15. Implement individualised learning plans tailored to staff objectives and provide constructive feedback.
16. Manage and prioritise workload to align with educational and service needs.
17. Plan and execute tasks, including organising educational programs.
18. Collaborate with the maternity practice education team to ensure effective learning opportunities.
19. Participate in the day-to-day coordination of maternity educational initiatives.
20. Enhance patient safety and experience by developing staff competencies and linking training with risk assessments.
21. Provide evidence-based care for women and their babies, adhering to local and national guidelines.
22. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with organisational and professional standards.
23. Establish effective communication with staff, patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
24. Provide motivation, reassurance, and sensitive feedback, adapting communication to overcome barriers.
