OverviewAn opportunity has arisen for a Transport Operations Clerk to be based at our Distribution Centre in Northampton. This challenging and interesting role will appeal to an individual with drive, determination and enthusiasm. Shifts are 3 on 3 off of 06;00 to 18:00 and a 42.43 hour week.Salary - £27,560How will you contribute?
1. Administration of the movement of vehicles and associated activities.
2. Undertake all activities in line with KPI requirements and SLA’s.
3. Responsible for booking all drivers / vehicles into the depot.
4. Tracks and supports the organisation of trailer servicing on time in accordance with procedures.
5. Issues correct paperwork and books out drivers from the transport department
6. Face to face interaction with drivers when conducting pre- and de-briefs.
7. Continuously monitors the in-house and third-party management software systems, ensuring compliance with key system requirements.
8. Ensure compliance with all Company, statutory and Health and Safety obligations.
9. Works closely with key operational partners including other departments, depots and customer locations.
10. Other site administration as and when required
11. Reporting to the Transport Team Manager

12. Excellent administration and organisational skills
13. An effective communicator, with excellent verbal and written skills
14. Naturally curious, willing to learn and develop
15. Intermediate level IT skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
16. Outstanding attention to detail to ensure accurate records are maintained
17. Ability to work to strict timescales
18. Knowledge of appropriate driver legislation, Fraighter, Microlise, Tachomaster, and consignment management software is desirable but not essential
19. Team player, self-motivated, flexible and confident
20. General awareness of health and safety is essential
