A national leader in land and environmental services is hiring a skilled Senior Arboricultural Consultant to help shape and elevate the delivery of tree consultancy services across the UK. Key Responsibilities Oversee complex arboricultural surveys and lead client-facing projects. Deliver and review detailed reports across BS5837, veteran trees, and planning-based work. Split time between field (50%) and office (50%) - flexibility available depending on location. Contribute to training junior consultants and developing internal processes. Manage and deliver high-value survey contracts, including complex multi-client projects.
Essential Skills & Experience Several years' experience in arboricultural consultancy. Minimum QCF Level 3/4 Qualification in Arboriculture or higher required. Strong understanding of tree legislation, development policy, and survey methods. Skilled in mentoring junior staff and upholding technical excellence. Excellent written communication and confident client-facing abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, GIS, and report preparation.
Desirable Attributes Degree or higher qualification in Arboriculture, Forestry, or Ecology. Understanding of project budgeting and workflow planning. Experience with asset capture systems (e.g. Ezytreev, QGIS). LANTRA PTI, CSCS, or NEBOSH Environmental (preferred but not essential).
