Arts Teacher, Director of Instrumental Music

* Director for two instrumental performance groups (orchestra and jazz band)
* Co-coordination, alongside the Director of Choral Music and the Technical Director, of two major concerts per year, recitals, and additional performances on- and off-campus
* Oversight of small independent student ensembles, including chamber groups and jazz combos
* May include leadership of the Pit Band in the Winter Musical (afternoon program)
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage two instrumental groups: orchestra and jazz band.
* Coordinate major concerts, recitals, and performances with colleagues.
* Oversee student ensembles, fostering musical growth and collaboration.
* Potentially lead the Pit Band for the Winter Musical.
Requirements
* B.A. or B.S. in music or music education preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
* Experience directing various instrumental ensembles and teaching in secondary or college settings.
* Ability to work collegially and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
* Enjoy working with young people in a boarding school environment.
* Valid driver’s license required.
