About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented person to support the Finance function in a split role, working across the Office Account Cashiering and Accounts Payable team. The role involves processing financial transactions accurately in compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules and providing efficient, detail-oriented, internal customer-focused service.
Based in our Central England (Northampton) Office, this is a fantastic time to join HCR Law. Having grown exponentially over the last few years, we are now more than 800 strong with 10 offices across England and Wales.
Cash Office
* Tracing, banking, and posting of client receipts to ledgers
* Capturing, posting, and paying of client payments
* Checking and balancing of client completion statements
* Cover for office account team as required
Accounts Payable
* Supporting the transactions team processing invoices, expenses, and card transactions
* Adding disbursements to client ledgers
* Dealing with supplier queries / internal requests
* Supporting with the Accounts Payable inbox
About You
You will need to:
* Have confident and concise communication skills
* Show attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
* Be a team player
* Have good time management and work calmly against deadlines
Experience in accounts is not essential; we are looking for someone who can grow into this role. You may be currently working in a regulated industry like insurance or banking, or even customer service.
This opening is full-time 08:30-17:00. Some overtime during month-end procedures is required, which will be compensated. Unfortunately, part-time hours cannot be considered for this vacancy.
