About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of eCommerce and Trading to lead our online sales and trading strategy. You will oversee all aspects of our eCommerce business, from driving sales and revenue growth to managing and optimising the customer journey. The ideal candidate is data-driven with a proven track record in eCommerce, digital marketing, online merchandising, and customer acquisition strategies.
What does this role involve day to day?
Strategic Leadership:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive eCommerce strategy aligned with business objectives.
* Identify emerging trends, technologies, and market opportunities within eCommerce.
* Set ambitious but achievable goals for sales, revenue, and profitability.
Trading and Operations:
* Oversee online trading, including product selection, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
* Analyse sales data, customer behaviour, and market trends to optimise product offerings and revenue.
* Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
Digital Marketing and Customer Acquisition:
* Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across channels (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing).
* Manage website traffic, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
* Stay updated on digital marketing trends and technologies.
Customer Experience:
* Create a seamless online customer experience to foster loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Oversee customer service operations, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and issues.
* Use customer feedback and data to improve the online journey.
Team Management:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing eCommerce team.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
This will be suited to you if
* You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
* You have at least 8 years of successful leadership experience in eCommerce.
* You possess a deep understanding of eCommerce practices, digital marketing, and online merchandising.
* You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
* You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* You have experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
