Start Date: Immediate start
Job type: Full Time contract, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.
Salary: £110 - £140 per day (depending on experience.)
A reputable secondary school in the Tameside area are looking for a dedicated Science Technician to provide tailored support to their pupils. You will be committed to making a positive difference to young peoples lives and in supporting and developing their learning. Your intervention will help enable an outstanding learning environment for their young people, providing the support they need to succeed.
The successful Science Technician will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and scientific skills. You will have the ability to effectively support learning and teaching, and to develop relationships across the school and the community. You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one as well as providing two professional references.
Requirements:
Qualification or training relating to Science Technician role.
Maintenance, preparation and cleaning of laboratory equipment
Organisation and maintenance of efficient storage systems for equipment and materials
Prepare and provide equipment for lessons
Preparation of laboratory solutions
Stock control including preparing lists of replacements as required
Assist with completing and collating statistical returns
Assist with the maintenance of Science Department administration systems
Reprographic work as required
