Leiston is a 420 place school with a busy nursery. Currently judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’. We offer our children a wide range of opportunities. As the Lead Activities Worker (Wrap Around Care), you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our breakfast and after-school provision. You will plan and deliver engaging activities, ensure a warm and inclusive environment, and work closely with school staff and families to provide high-quality care.
Key responsibilities:
* Set up and manage daily wraparound sessions
* Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities that support children’s development
* Provide a safe and stimulating environments for all pupils
* Lead and supervise wraparound care staff
* Liaise with parents and carers to support children’s needs
* Ensure policies and procedures (e.g. safeguarding, health and safety) are always followed.
You will have:
* experience of working with children in a primary school or childcare setting
* motivated, reliable, and nurturing in your approach
* excellent communication and organisational skills
* Paediatric First Aid and DSL Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
