Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled saleroom assistant to join our team on a part time basis, current working days will be Monday and Friday with potential for additional hours/holiday cover on a flexible basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enabling the saleroom to run smoothly while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Assist in loading and unloading goods from the van, ensuring items are safely handled
* Communicate effectively with warehouse / saleroom staff and customers regarding delivery schedules
* Potentially operating a van to deliver products to designated locations safely and efficiently.
* Working alongside our cataloguing and marketing team to capture photographs of items if required
* Helping to set up and move items (some are large/heavy – a practical mindset is key)
* Learning the ins and outs of a fast-moving auction environment
* Dealing with customers attending the saleroom for collection or delivery of items
Requirements
* Valid driving licence with a clean driving record
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Previous experience in a warehouse/saleroom environment is beneficial, particularly in logistics or distribution roles.
* Local to the Park Royal area is preferred
