Locations: Leamington Spa – with cover in Nuneaton and Coventry. This role involves regular travel between probation offices; ability to travel is a requirement.
About The Role
Rebuilding your life after sentencing is one of the toughest challenges a person can face. With the right support, it’s possible. As a Personal Well‑being Advisor, you will work with people who have complex needs and who may be reluctant to engage. You’ll support a caseload of service users, help them on their rehabilitation journey and liaise with pre‑release teams, probation and other internal departments.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Assess personal wellbeing and create individual action plans.
* Provide community‑based support to aid reintegration (housing, employment, mental health, social connections).
* Collaborate with internal and external colleagues as part of a wider support package.
* Manage a busy caseload, prioritising effectively and keeping meticulous records.
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in IT systems.
* Deliver wellbeing support in group and one‑to‑one settings using tailored interventions.
What We’re Looking For
* Relationship building skills – genuine, non‑judgmental engagement at all levels, with respect for confidentiality and boundaries.
* Experience as a service ambassador, promoting the service to relevant organisations.
* Safeguarding awareness – able to identify risks and act appropriately.
* IT and administrative competence – meticulous record‑keeping and use of systems.
* Organisational ability to handle a busy caseload and detailed records.
* Resilience – stays committed despite challenges and delays in results.
* Flexibility – comfortable with changing referral flows and working environments.
* Enhanced Level 1 DBS check.
