We have an exciting opportunity for a SeniorMental Health Practitionerto join ourMental Healthteam atHMP Gartree, a category B men's prison, located in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The prison houses approximately 640 patients where we deliver the primary care, mental health and substance misuse services.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
Monday to Friday -09:30-17:30
There is an expectation to work 1 weekend in 4.
This position isfull time,youll receive an annual salary up to£47,466per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As aSenior Mental Health Practitioner,your responsibilities will vary. You will
* Be responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs.
* Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
* Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
* Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.

* HCPC or NMC Registered
* Experience of working within mental health settings, developing knowledge and understanding of this patient group

Job responsibilities
To provide healthcare to patients, promoting health and well-being within the prisonerpopulation whilst implementing a stepped-care model of delivery. We are lookingfor experienced Mental Health Practitioners: RMN, Social Workers (MentalHealth), Occupational Therapists (Mental Health), Speech and LanguageTherapists (Mental Health) to join our integrated mental health team (IMHT).The role will involve assessment and caseload management of those referred intomental health services. Practitioners will work under autonomously whilst alsocontributing to the MDT and wider integrated healthcare team. You will support your team tocarry out comprehensive assessments, risk assessments confidently communicatingtreatment options and initiating supportive care plans. You will work withindividuals on a 1-2-1 and group basis and will model a culture of compassion,care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
As an AHP (OT or SLT), you will maintainyour professional registration and provide specialist assessment, consultationand guidance as well as managing your own caseload. You will receive clinicalsupervision from a senior AHP and play an exciting role in shaping the deliveryof AHP services within the prison.
