Job Summary
The Server Engineer (SE) role at UDML College of Engineering, JECRC Foundation, Jaipur is a technical position that requires extensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Hyper‑V/Azure/365, and enterprise server and storage hardware. A strong understanding of networking technologies is also required.
Key Technologies and Skills
* Virtualized environments such as Microsoft Hyper‑V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, DFS, GPOs
* Office 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online)
* Mail & web filtering tools, Windows Server & Exchange
* VPN applications such as Microsoft Direct Access or Always on VPN, Remote Desktop Services
* Backup and recovery tools such as Microsoft DPM
* Antivirus (Sophos, Windows Defender)
* Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SCCM
Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and decommission physical and virtual server assets.
* Coordinate server‑related changes, break/fix tasks, and upgrades.
* Provide technical support across the Trust’s IT systems and services.
* Work collaboratively with other SEs and report to the Server Specialist.
* Contribute to the Trust’s Target Operating Model (TOM), supporting day‑to‑day services, small improvements, and larger digital projects.
Qualifications
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* At least 4 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
* Microsoft MCSE/MCSA or equivalent qualification (Desirable).
* IT experience gained in an Acute healthcare setting (Desirable).
Pay & Benefits
£47,810 to £54,710 a year per annum (Band 7, Permanent, Full‑time, Reading, RG1 5UZ).
