Main duties of the job
As a Service Manager within our CareProvider Services, you will play a pivotal role in leading transformation anddelivering excellence across a diverse range of services, including:
* Learning Disability Services

You will lead a team of OperationsManagers and provide strategic and operational support to Registered Managersand Learning Disability Service Managers. Your leadership will drive innovation,performance, and quality across our services.

Job Context
The role of the Care Provider ServicesManager is pivotal in ensuring the care and support provision across a range ofservices is delivered in line with the Care Quality Commission Regulatory Framework,Fundamental Standards of Care, National Autism Accreditation Standards and in accordancewith NYCs Health and Adult Services operational care and support policies and procedures.
You will lead a team of RegisteredManagers and be responsible for ensuring that they meet the service delivery requirements of the CQC Framework, the NationalAutism Accreditation Standards and organisations quality standards for careprovision and its policies and procedures.
The scientific and clinical evidence demonstrates thatvaccines provide significant protection against severe disease, hospitalisationand death from COVID-19. Research also suggests that those who are vaccinatedare less likely to develop long COVID. The post-holder will supportour North Yorkshire residents who are most at risk of serious illness fromCOVID-19 and therefore has a professional responsibility to preserve safety andto take all reasonable precautions necessary to avoid any potential healthrisks to themselves or others. Whilst not a legislative requirement, it ishighly desirable for successful candidates to have completed (or be willing tocomplete) a full course of COVID vaccination.
Job Specifics
* This role will oversee a significantnumber and range of in-house provision, and the post holder will be expected tohave extensive knowledge of the CQC Regulatory Framework, National BestPractice and Quality Standards, Autism Accreditation Standards, risk managementand associated health and safety legislation.
* Required to have extensive knowledgeand experience of managing performance in respect of services and employeerelated matters.
* This role will provide the leadershipfor these staff teams and their managers and have designated responsibilitiesto ensure that the services deliver on values, a sense of purpose and theprovision on high quality care.
* There is an expectation that thepostholder will work in partnership with colleagues within the reablement andcare and support assessment teams and demonstrate a cooperative and collaborativeapproach to the development of strong relationships with the wider sectorparticularly health services and commissioners.
* Ensure the implementation ofmulti-agency safeguarding policy and operational guidance. Responsible forensuring services and the registered managers comply with the safeguardingpolicies and procedures.
* Report any significant concerns,complaints or legal issues to the senior manager.
* Contribute to the promotion of theCouncils priorities, policies and Corporate Plan and positively promote theservices with local media.
* Deputise for the Head of ProviderServices, as required.

JobPurpose
To lead andmanage a number of Registered Managers of care provider services. Ensuring thatthe direct care and support provided by North Yorkshire Council health andadult provider services is safe, effective, responsive, caring, well led andthat all services comply with both the Care Quality Commission Regulatory Framework,National Autism Accreditation Standards and with NYC policies and procedures.
Operational Management
* Provide leadership and direction to ateam of Registered Managers across a range of services.
* Contribute to the forward planning ofproperty maintenance and improvement of Provider Service establishments.

* Substantial knowledge of current good practice standards both at local and national level.
* Significant demonstrable knowledge of statutory requirements, including requirements in respect of carers, equality and anti-discrimination legislation, maintaining a safe working environment, data protection and confidentiality.
