YOUR ROLE
Our European Finance team have an exciting opportunity for a data savvy Financial Reporting Analyst who will oversee regional financial reporting and business intelligence tool testing to ensure concise, timely and accurate data outputs for our Air & Ocean teams.
This pivotal role will see you collaborating and engaging with a wide network of internal stakeholders where you will act as a bridge between regional and in-country business controlling teams, therefore we are looking for an individual who is not only practiced in business intelligence and financial reporting, but someone who can build exceptional working relationships.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the European Head of Finance Revenue Controlling for Air & Ocean, you will:
* Retrieve and analyse data from legacy systems, building various reports using BI tools and system techniques.
* Create automated pathways for regular reports to maximise system and tool capabilities.
* Build strong working relationships with IT teams to gain insight into system updates, testing and completion dates.
* Be knowledgeable in freight forwarding activities to enable you to understand and interpret data outputs when analysing information.
* Act as the key contact for all regional reporting issues or errors so that you can act and embed improvements.
* Consolidate and simplify reporting processes and procedure, mitigating risk and repetition.
* Create and review work instructions for all reports, centralising and sharing documentation.
* Assist in ad-hoc projects or reports as and when required.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will have proven experience in data reporting and analytics, knowledgeable in financial or accountancy principles and practiced in interpreting, communicating and presenting complex financial reports to financial and non-financial colleagues.
It goes without saying that you will be skilled in financial systems and business intelligence tools, experienced in manipulating and automating reports and creating and maintaining dashboards. You will have a natural problem solving and continuous improvement mindset, capable of working with a wider range of stakeholders across our European teams.
It would be desirable but not essential if hold a Power BI Data Analyst certification or equivalent.
This role is hybrid and can be based anywhere in the United Kingdom with a regular commute to our Ashby de la Zouch head office two days per week.
