An established and mission-driven organisation is seeking a Membership Engagement & Development Manager to lead a small, high-performing team focused on member acquisition, retention, and engagement.
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for driving membership growth (both in the UK and internationally) through strategic relationship-building and sales-led engagement. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across sectors to align services with their needs, enhance value for members, and strengthen the organisation’s reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a membership team in executing recruitment and retention strategies
* Build and manage strategic relationships with stakeholders and partners
* Deliver sales and engagement initiatives to meet performance targets
* Develop and oversee operating processes, budgets, and reporting
* Promote the organisation’s products and services to external audiences
About You: You’re a commercially minded relationship-builder with a background in membership, both across engagement and development/sales. You’ll bring proven leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for delivering value to members.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Strong understanding of membership recruitment and retention
* Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a target-driven environment
* Experience in creating and delivering strategic engagement plans
* Skilled in stakeholder engagement and developing credible relationships
* Confident in analysing markets to identify growth opportunities
