About Skyscanner
Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole "47 browser tabs open" phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily.

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all.

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here.)

We keep a £100M+ ads business running – powering the data behind every impression, click and booking. From performance ads insights to measuring brand impact for the world's biggest travel brands, if it's ad data, we make it happen. If you want to find yourself at the heart of advertising in Skyscanner, then this is the opportunity for you

About The Role
Hybrid
Join a cross-functional team at the heart of our ads platform, powering the data behind every impression, click and booking. Robins is the squad responsible for designing, scaling and maintaining the pipelines, platforms and analytics that help advertisers reach travellers worldwide.

You'll work closely with other data engineers, scientists and analysts, partnering with product and commercial teams to unlock insight, performance and growth. From data ingestion and transformation to building and operating high-scale systems, your work will enable smarter decision-making and better outcomes for our partners and travellers.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role — ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, working collaboratively across disciplines, and improving how things run at scale.

What You'll Be Doing
Designing and building robust, scalable data pipelines for ingestion, processing and analytics

* Collaborating closely with product, commercial and analytics teams to deliver business-critical data products
* Maintaining and improving systems across our modern stack (Databricks, Airflow, Astronomer, Python, PySpark, Druid and more)
* Contributing to data architecture and engineering best practices across the tribe
* Taking ownership of key systems and ensuring they run reliably and efficiently in production
* Bringing a mindset of experimentation, learning and iteration to everything you do

About You

* You're comfortable designing and building data pipelines using modern tools and frameworks — ideally including Databricks, Airflow, Astronomer, Python, PySpark and Druid
* You're a strong collaborator who enjoys solving real-world problems alongside engineers, scientists, analysts and product managers
* You understand what it takes to run data systems in production — you care about performance, reliability and cost
* You take ownership, communicate clearly, and deliver meaningful outcomes at pace
* You're curious and pragmatic — always learning, but focused on what delivers value now
* You care about clean, maintainable code and engineering best practices, and you help others do the same
