🔧 Shift Engineer | Automated Environment | 24/7 Operation
We’re working with a highly advanced, fast-paced operation seeking a Shift Engineer to support a complex automated environment.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of a high-performing site, focused on keeping systems running at peak efficiency while driving continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
* Delivering planned and reactive maintenance across automated systems
* Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
* Working cross-functionally to improve equipment reliability and performance
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects
* Monitoring performance data and identifying optimisation opportunities
* Ensuring high standards of safety, housekeeping, and compliance
* Supervising contractors and supporting wider engineering teams
What we’re looking for:
* Strong electrical and/or mechanical background (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Experience within an automated, FMCG, or production environment
* Understanding of control systems / PLCs (desirable)
* A proactive problem-solver with solid analytical skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
* Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
