Job Title: Social Worker – Safeguarding Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Safeguarding Team in Kettering. You’ll work with a wide range of children and young people with varying degrees of need, helping to make a real difference in their lives. The team is keen to grow and develop its areas of practice, and we’re eager to speak to social workers interested in various aspects of social work. With the chance to earn up to £150 per week for candidates living over 60 miles away (pro rata to £30 per day), this role comes with appealing compensation and benefits.

What you will do:
Manage cases transferred from DAAT at the first Initial Child Protection Conference or the first Child in Need meeting, and hold these cases until closure.
Collaborate with the Children in Care Teams if cases escalate to the court arena or require long-term care.
Work with children and young people from diverse backgrounds and with varying degrees of need.
Contribute to the team’s development by bringing your expertise in different aspects of social work.
Ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements related to child protection and social care.
