Senior Unreal Programmer responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and implement an Unreal server for use in a multiplayer game
* Support game features in Unreal to deliver a game that performs well in the real world
* Create a backlog of workrequired
* Highlight and mitigate risks in the technical plan and provide timescale estimates
* Establish budgets for the game
* Ensure metrics are sent to the reporting system so network performance can be monitored over time
* Be a key contact for networkingbest practices in the studio
Key requirements for this role in Farnborough
* Professional experience developing quality shipped PC / console / mobile games
* Strong knowledge of C++ programming
* Skilled in 3D maths, optimisation and data structures
* Experience shipping titles in Unreal engine
* Knowledge of the underlying architecture of how Unreal networks games
* Able to mentor junior members of the team
* Passionate about working in the games industry and making VR games
* Professional experience working with Unreal Engine 4 on shipped networked titles
