Housing Resident Liaison Officer (Planned Works & Repairs)

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Housing Resident Liaison Officer to support residents through planned works programmes and complex repairs.
You will act as the main point of contact for residents, ensuring clear communication, coordinating access to properties, and resolving issues quickly and effectively. This is a varied role combining office-based work with regular on-site visits to housing estates and residents’ homes.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the named contact for residents during works and repairs
*
Support complex and high-impact repair cases
*
Coordinate access arrangements to ensure smooth delivery of works
*
Identify and support vulnerable residents, including safeguarding referrals
*
Manage concerns and complaints, resolving issues at an early stage
*
Work closely with contractors, surveyors and housing teams
*
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data protection
*
Promote health & safety within occupied homes
About You:
*
Experience in a resident/customer-facing role handling sensitive cases
*
Background in housing, repairs, construction or similar environment
*
Strong communication and organisational skills
*
Ability to explain technical information clearly
*
Proven experience resolving complaints effectively
Essential Requirement:
*
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (due to regular travel to sites and residents’ homes)
*
Previous housing experience in a simillar role
Desirable:
*
Experience across planned works and repairs
*
Knowledge of disrepair or compliance cases
