Due to demand we are looking for experienced technicians with wiring and building electrical assemblies experience to join our Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME) business unit in Glasgow. With experience in wiring and building electrical assemblies you will perform manufacturing tasks in accordance with engineering drawings to the required quality. The role is based at our Glasgow manufacturing site. You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday, 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00 am and 7:30 am and you receive 30 minutes unpaid lunch. We also provide free on‑site parking and an on‑site canteen.
What you'll do
* Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
* Escalate health and safety issues to the Work Cell Manager.
* Perform complex manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation and the quality standards expected in a timely and professional manner.
* Adhere to the defined company processes when carrying out all tasks.
* Conduct self‑assessment and approval of products.
* Support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within the industry.
* Detect any faults or non‑compliance and raise alerts as necessary; contribute to diagnostics and root cause analysis where possible.
* Manage and record build configuration of products.
* Use company tools (ERP, Palma, etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks.
What you'll need
* Experience in wiring.
* Ability to perform complex electrical operations involving wiring and component soldering to IPC standards.
* Experience building electrical assemblies.
* The ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Eligible to obtain full SC clearance.
