The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Warrington area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Hours: Shifts across Monday to Sunday. Days, afternoons or nights.
Job Type : Ongoing position.
The role:
1. Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
2. Collect parcels from well-known customers, operating a tail lift and pump truck.
3. Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement as required.
4. Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.
5. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
6. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
7. Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements:
8. Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
9. Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
10. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
11. Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers’ hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.
12. Full understanding of WTD legislation.
13. Excellent communication skills.
