Our Waterside Special Events team supports us at key events throughout the year, including:
* Classic car weekends
* Steam weekend
* Easter
* Christmas events through December
Volunteering for these events provides essential support to deliver our feature events. Your role may involve being a general guide, supporting in our café, reading stories, or even being on our trip boat with Santa Claus!

Why we want you
Our Waterside Specialists help maintain the sustainability of the waterways by providing higher levels of skills through their volunteering. Volunteering with the Trust encompasses many roles and welcomes people with a wide range of skills, from practical work to surveying, indoors and outdoors. These skills may include working alongside existing specialists or bringing new skills to our team. We offer a variety of skilled activities you could participate in.
What you will be doing
* Supporting reservoir inspections
* Towpath surveys
* Specialist heritage or environmental surveys and assessments
* Supporting major construction works or stoppages
* Carrying out CAATS (internal qualifications) assessments
* Conducting Visitor Risk Assessments
* Maintaining specific equipment at our museums and attractions
* Safety and service inspections
The skills you need
This role is suited for individuals with specialist skills in various professional disciplines. While we support learning within the Trust, we especially welcome those with existing experience and skills they are willing to share.
