Job Purpose
The Analyst will work within the Investment environment of WYPF, supporting both the Investment Management and Operations teams managing £20 billion of pension assets. The goal is to develop and embed systems, controls, processes, and procedures to support a new Target Operating Model aligned with FCA regulation.
Responsibilities include:
1. Conducting a full service review of payroll service, processes, and systems.
2. Reviewing current state, including business process and customer journey mapping, identifying issues and waste.
3. Prioritizing high-volume and high-cost areas for impactful redesign.
4. Exploring future state opportunities, including digital enhancements.
5. Developing future state designs with process improvements to address inefficiencies.
Candidate should have:
* Proven experience in business analysis, especially process mapping, redesign, and payroll systems improvements.
* Knowledge of LEAN methodologies and experience leading change initiatives.
* Strong data analysis skills to interpret payroll data and generate insights.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience managing or supporting system upgrades or implementations.
* Knowledge of local government payroll systems, policies, and procedures.
* Experience in the public sector or large organizations is desirable.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., BCS, CBAP) or payroll qualifications.
* Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile or Prince2.
