We deliver world-class turnkey solutions to the engineering sector, with a particular focus on rail, power generation, pressure equipment, and infrastructure projects. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic, target-driven Commercial Manager to lead sales and business development across our core service areas.
As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting business opportunities across Certification, Inspection, and Testing. You will play a critical role in NECIT’s growth strategy—building relationships with new and existing clients, leading commercial negotiations, and driving profitable revenue.
This is a high-impact role that requires a strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of engineering services. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure commercial success across all divisions.
Sales & Business Development
Proactively generate new leads and convert opportunities across Certification, Inspection, and Testing services
Identify opportunities in strategic markets (e.g. rail, power, pressure systems)
Commercial Strategy
Lead the creation and delivery of NECIT’s commercial strategy
Develop value propositions and sales campaigns aligned to market demand
Create sales forecasts and set achievable targets for revenue growth
Lead on the development of high-quality proposals and tenders
Support bid writing, pricing strategies, and customer presentations
Ensure all proposals align with NECIT’s quality standards, capabilities, and accreditations
Customer Account Management
Act as key account manager for high-value clients
Build long-term customer partnerships based on trust, performance, and value
Work with the Managing Director, Head of Certification, Quality Manager, and Operations to ensure seamless delivery of services sold
Report commercial KPIs and pipeline performance to the leadership team
Proven experience in a Commercial, Sales, or Business Development role within engineering, TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification), or related sectors
Demonstrable track record of generating and closing B2B sales
Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
Experience selling to rail, energy, utilities, or pressure equipment markets
Understanding of certification schemes, NDT, or inspection contracts
