To work under the direct or indirect supervision of and in support of the registered nurse, carrying out delegated nursing and non-nursing duties to promote all aspects of patient-centred care.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assist the registered nurse in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care.
2. Undertake patient personal care and related procedures, including bathing and toileting, in accordance with patient care plans.
3. Assist patients with eating and drinking if required.
4. Ensure the environment is clean and in good working order.
