What You’ll Be Doing:
As a SHE Advisor, you will be at the forefront of enhancing safety and governance within our Submarines business. Your role will include:
* Delivering expert consultation and process management support to a diverse range of stakeholders, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Leading the facilitation of process development activities across the Submarines business.
* Providing timely guidance, coaching, and governance on Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards and legislation.
* Contributing to the development of a robust safety culture while actively supporting the SHE improvement program.
* Maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders, including functional leads, regulatory bodies, contractors, and customers.
* Ensuring the effective delivery of all elements of the Safety, Health, and Environment Operational Plan across all submarine sites.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* Proven background in developing and implementing robust management systems.
* Experience in drafting policy documents and formal documentation.
* Strong ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and industry guidance.
* Possession of a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
Desirable:
* Experience in delivering training and coaching to individuals or teams.
* Understanding of data record retention practices and compliance requirements.

The Policy and Governance Team:
In this pivotal role, you will contribute to one of the UK’s most advanced engineering programs, providing expert SHE guidance to ensure the safe construction and delivery of the next generation of Nuclear Submarines. We also offer relocation support for eligible candidates.
