Position Purpose:
The Facility Manager oversees the operations and financial results of Stericycle’s Incineration Facilities. This role involves collaborating with multiple departments including Sales, Customer Service, Accounting, Safety, and Environmental Compliance to ensure safety, regulatory adherence, and customer satisfaction. The manager will also ensure the facilities meet or exceed goals related to Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H), Regulatory Compliance, Revenue Growth, Budget Control, Customer Service, and Continuous Improvement.
Key Job Activities:
* Recruit, train, and develop a team of managers, supervisors, and plant workers.
* Maintain and improve operational standards and functions in a timely and accurate manner.
* Ensure compliance with licensing, H&S requirements, and PPC permits.
* Establish and maintain relationships with local regulatory bodies and coordinate inspections.
* Coordinate Duty of Care Tours with internal staff and external customers.
* Collaborate with other facility managers to identify and implement best practices.
* Work with Maintenance and Incinerator Operations Managers to plan outages, review equipment issues, and develop corrective actions.
* Perform other duties or projects as required.
Education and Experience:
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in management or environmental fields, or comparable work experience. For North America & LATAM, five or more years of progressive management experience in plant operations is preferred. For EMEAA, relevant certifications such as COSHH, IOSH, and others are desirable.
Must demonstrate knowledge of waste heat recovery, incineration operations, and maintenance of high-temperature processing equipment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and budget management is required. Candidates should also be familiar with applicable regulations and continuous improvement practices.
Certifications and Licenses:
Relevant certifications include COSHH, IOSH, forklift, confined space, environmental permitting, emissions monitoring, and safety-related licenses.
