We are seeking a compassionate Community Care Worker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need within the community.
The ideal candidate will have a caring nature and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
* Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements
* Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
* Support clients with mobility and undertake heavy lifting when necessary
* Manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding
* Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals in their homes or nursing facilities
* Implement care plans tailored to each client's specific needs, including hospice care if required
Experience & Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a nursing home or hospice setting
* Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures
* Ability to drive to clients' homes or care facilities as needed
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
* A caring and empathetic approach to delivering care services
* Relevant qualifications in health and social care would be advantageous
