Michael Page Procurement & Supply Chain are working with a Growing FMCG Business, as they look to recruit a Procurement Manager to oversee the direct and indirect spend categories, managing a team and looking to support the business as they look to double turnover in the next 5 years.
Job Description
The role of Procurement Manager will be responsible for the following:
3. Manage the procurement spend for business, including raw materials, packaging and 3rd party manufacturing
4. Manage the procurement team, looking to introduce and develop better sourcing strategies and procurement practises across the business
5. Working cross-functionally & externally with suppliers to identify and deliver continuous efficiency and/or cost improvement opportunities
6. Leading a team to deliver long-term strategies to ensure value, quality & minimise risk
7. Supplier Management, including introduction of additional suppliers
8. Manage complex supplier relationships and own regular commercial meetings, to ensure engagement, alignment and clear communication
The Successful Applicant
Successful candidates will possess:
9. An experienced senior-level procurement expert, used to managing multiple categories
10. Exceptional stakeholder management & alignment abilities
11. Resilient, able to work at pace
12. Experience working in FMGC or manufacturing
13. Experience working with packaging procurement at some level
14. Experience developing & negotiating supplier contracts
15. Organised with a very keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure
16. Great project management
