An exciting opportunity for an Associate to develop a breadth of commercial skills and experience across advisory and formal insolvency assignments with the Restructuring Advisory team

To assist in the delivery of restructuring advisory reporting assignments and work on insolvency appointments across a diverse portfolio of clients, and to ensure that clients and other interested parties receive a quality service in all respects. The role is client facing and therefore attendance on site with the client and other RA staff will be required

You'll make an Impact by:

Advisory

1. Complete Support with the completion of assignments in accordance with the Firm’s standard Advisory procedures and where relevant statutory obligations, and to confirm arrangements with the client, company, or appointer, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
2. Advisory assignments may include, but are not limited to, cash flow reviews, solvency reviews, options analyses, independent business reviews, pre-lend reviews, etc.
3. Work closely alongside other Advisory staff to complete Reporting assignments which are likely to include: Attendance at initial meetings on site with the client and other RA staff.Analysing and challenging information received from the client, or checking back to source documentation.Report drafting, guided by other RA staff and templates. Implementing those solutions, which may involve for example a sale of business tasks drafting sale documentation/ preparing lists of interested parties/ liaison with agents / provision of information to interested parties etc, bilateral creditor negotiations, debt restructuring.

Insolvency

4. Work closely alongside other Restructuring Advisory staff to plan and execute insolvency assignments, and potentially manage appropriate insolvency cases as required, in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory obligations. Guidance will be provided throughout but this may involve some of the following:Implementing those solutions through insolvency procedures as appropriate, including but not limited to Company Voluntary Arrangements, Administrations and Creditors Voluntary Liquidations.Attendance on site at initial meetings with the client and other RA staff. Provide end‑to‑end administrative support on restructuring and insolvency engagements.Prepare and format statutory documents, reports, proposals, and client communications.Maintain accurate case files, systems, and databases in line with regulatory and internal standards. This will include inputting data onto the internal systems, IPS and Virtual Cabinet.Liaise with the creditors, directors and other interested parties throughout any assignment, and provide excellent client service at all times. Complete regular reviews to ensure compliance standards are met and deliver proactive case progression.Communicate regularly with the Manager and Partner of any engagement on progress, strategy and timelines. Identify risk issues and ensure these are dealt with promptly.Keeping up to date with insolvency and other relevant legislation

5. CPI qualification beneficial but not a prerequisite for the role
6. ACCA / ACA qualified / part-qualified would be beneficial
7. Experience in Restructuring Advisory and / or Insolvency in a similar role.
8. Good understanding of IPS or similar case management system.
9. Proven communication skills due to internal stakeholder management
10. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns or anomalies, and support decision‑making across engagements.
