The project:
A new £25 million design & build residential development comprising a cut & carve refurbishment to retain the existing facade with MetSec frame new build over 3 floors to create 80 high-spec apartments. Running concurrently there will be 45 new traditional build 2 bedroom houses all fitted out to high specification.
The role:
As the Assistant Manager on this new build development you will be responsible for managing the new build housing phase of 45 units from groundworks through to practical completion and your role will include:
10. Creating short-term look ahead programmes inline with the lead programme set out by the Project Manager.
11. Site safety which will include site inductions, checking contractor RAMS, site inspections, tool box talks and issuing permits to work.
12. Attending contractor progress meetings.
13. Setting up site labour with daily activities.
14. Management of subcontractor packages within your section.
15. Quality control and ensuring works are delivered to drawing and specification.
16. Preparation of units for CML.
This Assistant Site Manager role is ideal for you if:
17. Previous experience in a similar position working on projects in excess of £10 million in value.
18. Sound technical experience in construction.
19. Educated to HND standard in a construction related field or a trade background to NVQ standard.
20. Experience of delivering design & build residential projects for a principal contractor or developer.
21. Excellent attention to detail.
22. Strong interpersonal skills
23. Relevant and in date CSCS Card along with SMSTS and First Aid.
