The Opportunity
Compass Associates have partnered with a highly regarded care provider in the search for a Commissioning Home Manager to open and lead a brand-new, purpose-built elderly care home in Chingford.
This state-of-the-art facility will provide first-class residential and dementia care to up to 66 residents, with a strong focus on private-fee-paying clients and a clear ambition to raise the bar for elderly care in the area.

About You
Were looking for an experienced, passionate and commercially astute leader who thrives in a commissioning environment. You’ll be given the autonomy to build and lead a high-performing team, deliver exceptional care standards, and play a key role in the home’s long-term success.
You will have:
* Prior experience commissioning a new elderly care home
* Strong leadership and team-building skills
* Solid knowledge of CQC, safeguarding, and best practice in dementia and elderly care
* A genuine passion for quality and innovation in social care
* Confidence with budgets, recruitment, and community engagement
* Experience working with private-fee-paying families and understanding local market dynamics
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commissioning, registration, and full operational launch of the home
* Build and manage a strong, motivated care team
* Ensure full compliance with regulatory and legislative standards
* Drive occupancy through marketing, community engagement, and relationship building
* Take responsibility for staffing, rota planning, budget management, and care delivery
* Be the face of the home representing its values, building trust with families, and ensuring excellence in every detail
