SEND Assessment and Monitoring Officer – Tribunals Location: South Tyneside Working Arrangement: Fully Remote Contract: Full Time – 37 hours per week Rate: £400 per day Pertemps is recruiting an experienced SEND Assessment and Monitoring Officer – Tribunals to support a local authority in South Tyneside. This is a fully remote role, offering an excellent opportunity to work on complex tribunal and mediation cases within SEND services. The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tribunal-related casework, preparing high-quality documentation, and representing the Local Authority at SEND tribunals. You will also support complaint responses and mediation activity, working closely with internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: Prepare all documentation and evidence for SEND tribunals Manage and progress tribunal casework, liaising with internal teams to gather information Represent the Local Authority at tribunals Respond to corporate complaints Carry out mediations where required Essential Requirements: Educated to degree level or equivalent, or holding a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Social Work, Teaching, Law) Strong experience of the Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessment and annual review process Experience working with families and professionals across education, social care, and health Proven experience responding to complaints Ability to write clear, detailed reports compiled from multiple information sources Experience of effective partnership and multi-agency working Ability to manage conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Enhanced DBS clearance Full current driving licence or access to suitable mobility support Sufficient mobility to work across the borough when required Why work through Pertemps?
