Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a Welfare/Pastoral Officer to join our client Mainstream Primary School based in Portsmouth.
We are in search of a compassionate individual with experience in first aid or pastoral care. Your role will be vital in creating a safe and nurturing environment for our students, and you’ll occasionally support pupils in the classroom.
Contract Details for the Welfare/Pastoral Officer role:
1. Location – Portsmouth (PO2)
2. Position – Welfare/Pastoral Officer
3. Start date – ASAP
4. Hours – 08:30am – 15:30pm
5. Contract type – Temporary/Permanent
6. Full time/part time – Full-Time Monday to Friday
7. Minimum rate of pay – £ per hour
Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the role:
8. If you have GCSE qualifications in English and Maths, minimum of a grade 4/C (or equivalent)
9. Possess excellent communication skills
10. Will embrace our highly supportive and professional culture
11. Previous Welfare or First Aid experience
12. You wish to develop their skills and embrace ongoing training and development
To be eligible as a Teaching Assistant role through Prospero Teaching you must:
13. Hold Right to Work in the UK
14. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
15. Provide two professional child related references
