What do we want?
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to support the smooth running of our laundry operations. This role is essential in ensuring our linen is cleaned, maintained and replenished to a high standard. You will work independently while being part of the wider housekeeping team, following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, tidy working environment. Flexibility is key, as the role requires working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This is a 32-hour per week position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Loading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryers
* Checking, folding and organising freshly laundered items
* Performing minor sewing and repair duties when required
* Replacing and replenishing laundry supplies
* Ordering linen and ensuring stock levels are accurate
* Maintaining a clean and tidy laundry workspace
* Reporting maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Manager
* Following all health & safety procedures at all times
* Working evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required
Qualifications:
* Previous laundry or housekeeping experience (desirable, not essential)
* Ability to work independently and follow procedures
* Willingness to work flexible hours
