Key Responsibilities of the Senior Design Engineer include: * Lead the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems, utilising advanced manufacturing technologies. * Take responsibility for delivering fully qualified design solutions for customer projects. * Oversee third-party engineering service providers to ensure efficient and high-quality design execution. * Ensure all design activities comply with relevant industry standards and quality systems, including ISO 9001. * Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and project teams to drive successful project outcomes. * Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering professional development within the team. * Perform additional technical tasks as required to support overall business objectives. Skills & Experience Required * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a design engineering role with a proven track record of delivering projects. * Proficiency in 3D CAD software and FEA tools. * Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and fundamental engineering calculations. * Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. * Strong teamwork, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
