Job Title: Finance Administrative Assistant\n Location: Bolton\n Salary: £25,000 – £28,000\n Type: Full-Time, Permanent\n\nWe are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrative Assistant to support a growing finance function in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative and financial skills to contribute to a forward-thinking business, offering both professional development and career progression. You’ll be working within a thriving company in the construction and facilities management sector.\n\nDuties of a Finance Administrative Assistant\n\nIn this role, you will play an integral part in supporting the finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
You will be responsible for:\n\nProcessing and inputting invoices, expenses, and receipts\n\nManaging the finance inbox and ensuring queries are dealt with efficiently\n\nAssisting with payment processing and liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and employees\n\nSupporting the preparation of weekly payment schedules and upcoming bills\n\nAssisting with onboarding new suppliers and employees into finance systems\n\nEnsuring accurate allocation of invoices and expenses to the correct jobs/projects\n\nSupporting payroll processes and ensuring compliance with payment terms\n\nMaintaining finance administration tasks, including VAT and CIS setup\n\nSkills and experience of a Finance Administrative Assistant\n\nTo be successful in this role, you should have:\n\nStrong administrative and organisational skills\n\nExperience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (advanced Excel preferred)\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\n\nA proactive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented approach\n\nThe ability to prioritise workload effectively and work with accuracy\n\nIt would be advantageous if you also had:\n\nExperience using Xero and BigChange\n\nPrevious exposure to invoice management, credit control, or payroll processes\n\nWhat the client offers a Finance Administrative Assistant\n\nThis client offers:\n\nA competitive salary package (£25,000 – £28,000, dependent on experience)\n\n5% pension contribution\n\nProfessional development and opportunities for career growth\n\nA supportive and collaborative team environment\n\nModern head office facilities in Bolton\n\nThe chance to be part of a growing business with long-term career prospects\n\nAbout the Client\n\nOur client is a well-established and expanding company in the construction and facilities management sector.
