Job Overview
Due to expansion we are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community based Care Support Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes in the Rhos area of Wrexham.
This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our Individuals, particularly those with dementia and other health challenges.
Hours to be worked are between 7am - 2pm (Early) or 4pm - 10pm (Late) and include working every other weekend on a rota basis.
This care run does require you to be a driver and have access to your own car, and you are paid travel time and mileage on top of your hourly rate.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept people who require sponsorship.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Provide medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
* Assist with mobility, ensuring safety at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate staff.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
Experience
* Previous experience in patient care or a similar role is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
* A caring attitude and a genuine desire to help others are crucial for success in this role.
* Relevant qualifications in health or social care would be beneficial but are not mandatory, and are offered to all applicants on completion of their probationary period.
