Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a large and well-regarded secondary school in Liverpool to recruit an experienced Cover Supervisor for a full-time position.
This role is ideal for a confident and resilient professional with strong behaviour management skills and proven experience working within a secondary school environment.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff, maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring high standards of behaviour and engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set work
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
Ensuring students remain on task and engaged in learning
Following school behaviour policies and reporting incidents accurately
Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Supporting the wider school team as required
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or working in a secondary school (essential)
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain control of the classroom
Confident, calm and professional approach
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Reliable, flexible and committed to full-time work
