Under the direct supervision of the designated Head Nurse, demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to nursing assessments and care plans, and participates in evaluating nursing care. Shares responsibility for individual patients or an entire patient population.

Nursing Care Plan:
* Uses assessment data to develop effective care plans.

* Provides safe, therapeutic care based on care plans.

* Supervises nonprofessional personnel and communicates effectively with the care team.
* Performs basic technical skills competently.

Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
* Minimum six months of recent professional nursing experience.
* Active RN license in TN or a compact state with intent to obtain TN license within 30 days.
* Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications or obtain within 90 days of hire.
