1. Full training and support in obtaining the nationally recognised Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) UKONs competency
2. Rotation between the out-patient Chemotherapy Unit and the award winning Mobile Chemotherapy Unit

With a base and training at York Oncology/Haematology Outpatients, there will be an opportunity to experience training in an area providing full elite care, to those affected by cancer and its treatments.
The role will include supporting the Mobile Chemotherapy Unit (MCU) Team. The MCU visits satellite areas, such as Selby, Malton, Scarborough and Bridlington. This patient-centred initiative brings cancer treatments locally to the patient.

5. Maintain a high standard of patient focused care in accordance with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust policies and procedures
6. Maintain a safe and clean working environment
7. Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
8. Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.
9. Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient
10. Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct
11. Undertake duties on different wards/departments as and when required by service demands
12. Demonstrate personal responsibility for compliance with infection control policies and procedures

21. Registered Nurse (Level 1)
22. Evidence of continued professional development and implementation in clinical practice within last 12 months
23. Understanding of training needs in relation to post and willingness to take further training

25. Recognised teaching/Assessing qualification.
26. Degree in Nursing
