Our Client is looking for a Full-Time, Permanent Field Electrical Technician based in Wokingham, with offshore and overseas deployment capabilities. The role involves offshore installation, commissioning, fault finding, and data interpretation for the INTEGRI range of instrumentation, aligned with project schedules and quality standards. Responsibilities include delivering monitoring systems within the energy sector.
The candidate must maintain positive communication with the Project Client, handle project queries effectively, and work under pressure to meet project deadlines. Close cooperation with the Project Manager and team is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Install, commission, and maintain systems onsite, including offshore environments.
2. Troubleshoot issues during offshore installation and maintenance.
3. Collaborate with the Service Manager to deliver projects on time and within budget.
4. Assemble, test, and troubleshoot systems, working with engineering and operational teams.
5. Manage documentation in compliance with internal processes and ISO9001 standards.
6. Communicate with offshore/operations teams, third-party stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors.
7. Procure system components in coordination with the procurement manager.
8. Produce project documentation and reports.
9. Manage rental equipment logistics, including shipments, returns, servicing, and re-stocking.
10. Understand system details prior to deployment.
11. Ensure successful installation and commissioning of projects.
12. Test and install hardware and software components.
13. Complete project documentation such as lessons learned, non-conformance reports, change notes, SIT reports, installation, and maintenance reports.
Minimum Requirements
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* HNC/HND in Electronics/Electrical Engineering; Degree preferred.
* Field experience in relevant environments.
* Experience with cable termination, power, and networking.
* Fault-finding skills using multimeter, oscilloscope, current meters, etc.
* Ability to troubleshoot and recommend remedies.
* IT literacy, including troubleshooting, IP addresses, DNS, NTP.
* NMEA/MODBUS experience is advantageous.
* Experience with installation report audits and daily progress reports.
* Offshore training and certification preferred; full training provided.
* Flexibility to work offshore for extended periods, including weekends and holidays.
* European visa/passport is advantageous.
* Residence within a commutable distance to Wokingham.
