Class 2 Driver – Removals Operative
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Approx. 45 hours per week)
Salary: £37,000 – £42,000 per year (DOE)
The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our client’s removals team. This is a hands-on role combining professional driving duties with removals support. You will be driving Class 2 vehicles across the UK, while also assisting with packing, loading, and delivering customer belongings safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Safely drive Class 2 vehicles for local, long-distance, and international removals.

Assist with packing, wrapping, lifting, loading, and unloading household and personal effects.
*
Deliver excellent customer service, liaising with clients and colleagues professionally.
*
Complete job paperwork and electronic records accurately.
*
Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly, and ensure CPC compliance.
*
Follow all health & safety procedures and act as Banksman when required.
Requirements
*
Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence with no more than 6 points.
*
Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
*
Previous experience as a Class 2 Driver with proven HGV driving ability.
*
Strong customer service skills and organisational ability.
*
Fluent English (written and verbal) to complete documentation.
*
Flexibility to work occasional weekends and late finishes.
Desirable Skills
*
Previous removals industry experience.
*
Forklift and/or warehouse experience.
*
Additional languages.
Working Pattern
*
Monday to Friday as standard, with occasional weekend work.
*
Start and finish times will vary depending on job requirements (some late finishes).
